Hey!
Sorry, I don't have much time because I've been spending a bunch of time emailing individually...
1st- President told us to tell our families: If I miss a Monday and do not send you an email, please do not panic, and please do not email President until I have missed two Mondays in a row. Apparently he's had problems with parents contacting him, worried sick that their missionary hasn't email them and therefore must have died a slow painful death, when in reality the library was closed because of a holiday, or they were in a meeting and missed their preparation day, or some other fairly legit excuse. So don't contact him until I've missed two Mondays in a row. Not that I've missed any Mondays... or that you would freak out an contact him. But don't worry. We're all still alive in the Birmingham Alabama mission.
This week we had an absolutely fantastic Zone Conference. We had a multi-faith ukulele choir come and play for us right before lunch. I just loved standing, listening and clapping to their music. It was SO much fun! Old folk stuff is just so invigorating! Zone Conference is always a great time to have my spiritual reserves sthrengthened, and this Zone Conference was no different. I am so grateful for President, and I am so grateful for the Lord for answering so many of my questions.
On Friday my companion had a doctor's appointment in Birmingham, and Whoo! Talk about an emotional trip up! It was so neat driving down the streets where I used to bike. Birmingham really is the city where I felt the most like a true missionary, and I absolutely loved it. For such a grimy, nasty city, it has a really special place in my heart. I loved seeing it. Also, I ran into three members at the Chick'fil'a. :) And they actually remembered me!! It was fabulous.
Thanks!! I love you all!!
Love,
~Sister Pratt
